Meet Our Examiners
Carey Thomas
Carey studied at the Academy of Learning and is a TEFL certified educator. Her teaching journey started in South Africa, where the experience quickly grew on her. She would later pack her bags and take things a step further, venturing to Chongqing and Beijing in China, where she taught for four years before hopping over to teach in Bangkok and Hanoi in Thailand and Vietnam.
Carey incorporates her eight years of speech and drama studies into her lessons, giving them a dynamic edge. She can adapt to students from any culture thanks to her 13 years of experience as a flight attendant for SAA.
Casey Strong
Very few educators have a résumé quite as impressive as Casey Strong. Some of her experience in the field include Teaching at The King’s School Linbro Park for eight years, Teacher at Pretoria Chinese School for two years before being promoted to Deputy principal at Pretoria Chinese School, which she retained for two years. She then moved on to being Deputy Principal at Maragon Mooikloof and was promoted to Principal at Maragon Mooikloof within the same year due to her excellent performance.
She has also garnered online teaching experience at Brainline and of course, as part of our team at TEFLVARSITY
