Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

The contract between The TEFL VARSITY and the student will be on these conditions, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. Any variations to these conditions shall have no effect unless agreed in writing.

The TEFL VARSITY reserves the right to change our course prices or other services on our website at any time.

The TEFL VARSITY does not accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by delay or interruption to travel services, weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, wars, floods, sickness or force majeure. Such losses or additional expenses are your responsibility. Force majeure represents unusual and unforeseeable circumstances such as war or the threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions.

Our internship/volunteer opportunities and the jobs posted on our jobs board are provided by third parties. Although we will endeavour to assist students to the best of our ability, we can accept no liability for the actions or conduct of any third party organisation.

TEFL VARSITY does not process any card payments directly on our server. We do not store or process personal financial information. Payments are processed by our payment processor PayFast and PayPal.

The 12-month enrolment on the online course starts from the day that the student pays for the course in full.

Access to the online course materials will cease upon expiration of enrolment.

We will refund you 100% of your course fee if you have not accessed your course within seven days.

A TEFL online course that has been accessed via your unique

login password cannot be refunded as you have had the opportunity to download, view and study/use the licenced digital course material you paid for. If you are unable to complete the online TEFL course within six

months of enrolment/payment due to illness, we will consider extending your course expiry date on request prior to the expiry date and at TEFL VARSITY management discretion.

Cancellations made after seven days of the date of purchased for the course will not be eligible for a refund. All refund requests must be made in writing or emailed to info@varsityclub.app.

Aggressive, abusive or offensive language or behaviour, regardless of the circumstances will not be tolerated. Examples of this behaviour include, but are not limited to; threats of physical violence; swearing; inappropriate cultural, racial or religious references; rudeness, including derogatory remarks. The TEFL VARSITY practises a zero-tolerance policy in regards to such behaviour. All students are required at all times to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner including in their dealings with other students, staff and external organisations.

The administration office charge to print your hard-copy certificate and courier it to you in South Africa is R300.00 or $50 (USD) outside South African borders.

Due to ongoing problems with the South African postal service, TEFL VARSITY cannot be held responsible for the failure of hard copy certificates to arrive to students living in South Africa (free PDF certificates are sent to all South African students). Each student will be sent one hard copy certificate via Royal Mail. Any replacements due to the fault of the postal service in South Africa, or incorrect details provided by the student, will incur a fee.

This Agreement is governed by the law of South Africa.
